August 7, 2005 started out as a cool, foggy morning here in northwest
Arkansas.
We met at the Tourist Information Center at 8:00 am. Our small group headed off to
the Conoco Station in Huntsville to meet up with Star Chapter 250 out of Fayetteville
and a few of their friends from the Fayetteville area. By the time we made it to
Huntsville the fog had lifted and it turned into a beautiful day for riding.
Riding out of Huntsville with 18 bikes and 22 riders, we took Hwy 21 and then turning
towards Kingston on Hwy 74. At Kingston we met another group of riders at the pavilion.
From Kingston we took Hwy 21 through Boxley up to Hwy 16 near Fallsville which
lead us through Deer on the way to connecting with Hwy 7 South. We enjoyed the
beautiful view from the scenic lookout on Hwy 7 South before heading towards our
final stop for lunch at Scooters located at The Hub in Marble Falls. After everyone was
finished eating we had cake to celebrate the birthdays of Patty from Star Chapter 298
of Harrison and Stephanie from Star Chapter 250 of Fayetteville.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTY AND STEPHANIE !!
After lunch and some idle time at The Hub, we said our good-byes as the Fayetteville
group headed over the mountain talking Hwy 43 on their way home.
We really enjoyed meeting and riding with Star Chapter 250 and all of the friends
they brought along with them. We hope to do it again very soon.
