Coffeyville, Kansas
and
Catoosa, Oklahoma

On July 9th, 2005 a small group of us met at the Information Center
in Harrison, Arkansas where we headed off to the Dalton Defenders Museum in
Coffeyville, Kansas. Our ride took us through Missouri to the flatlands of Missouri.
Although it was very hot we were prepared with coolers and cool dogs.

When we arrived in Coffeyville we had lunch at the Cactus Grill and then went to the
Dalton Defenders Museum where we checked out memorabilia from the infamous
Dalton Raid in 1892 among other interesting displays.

Leaving Coffeyville we rode to the Super 8 Motel in Catoosa, Oklahoma where we
washed off the road grime before walking across the parking lot to try our luck at the
Cherokee Casio. Landus got off work Saturday afternoon and rode to Catoosa,
arriving just in time to join us for a late dinner at the Waffle House.

Getting up the next morning we roared home riding the Cherokee Turnpike on our
way to Arkansas. After stopping for lunch in Springdale we road on towards Harrison.
It started to rain on our band of bikers after we left Marble.

We were all soaking wet but made it safely home having a great time.
