Saturday, June 6th 2009
We met at the Depot Restaurant on Highway 65 south of Harrison and
rode to Yellville where we picked up a few more chapter members.
Leaving Yellville we made our way to Mammoth Spring via Fifty Six, Arkansas.
Upon arriving at Mammoth Sring we had lunch at Woods's Riverbend
Restaurant located on the banks of Spring River with a beautiful
view of Spring River out the back windows of the restaurant.
We rode the short distance to Mammoth Spring State Park after lunch
where we took our time touring the grounds. Which are absolutely awesome!
You can stand by the waterfall and feel a cool breeze flowing off the water.
With the water being a chilly 58 degrees it can be quite refreshing on hot day.
We rode back towards Harrison and stopped at Hog Heaven Leathers & Gifts
for a brief rest and a little shopping before we made the last leg of our trip.
We had a great ride with good friends... What more can you ask for?
