Chapter 298 met at the White Oak Station early Saturday
morning and rode to King's River Station at Marble to
join up with Chapter 141 from Tulsa.
After a brief wait, Chapter 141 arrived and we all
made our introductions. We then headed to Harrison
for lunch at Neighbor's Mill.
We made a quick jog to the Mall Exxon for anyone to
top off and go over our ride plans.
Riding down Highway 7 South we stopped at Marble Falls for
pictures and went on to Jasper and the RiverView Motel.
Chaper 141 were staying at the motel and quickly checked in.
Leaving the motel we continued on south on Highway 7 and
stopped at the overlook at the Arkansas Grand Canyon.
WHAT A VIEW!!
Then we turned onto Highway 374 to Vendor and took a right
onto Highway 123 to Mt. Judea and rode the Arkansas Dragon
up to Lurton making a relaxing stop at Sam's Throne Overlook.
We ran into a little rain shortly after leaving Sam's Throne
and stopped at Clayborn's Store in Deer to see if anyone
wanted to add rain suits to their attire.
Taking Highway 16 out of Deer to turned right onto Highway 21 and
into Boxley Valley where we had the fortune of seeing a few elk.
We were lined up on the highway when a few more members
of Chapter 141 joined us as we were taking pictures.
Riding on to Ponca we turned right onto Highway 74
crossing the Buffalo River and then up and over Mt.
Sherman back to Jasper. We parted ways with our new
friends at Jasper and headed home.
We made one last stop at the Daisy Queen for ice cream
to top off a great day of riding. It was a pleasure
meeting, eating and riding with Star Chapter 141.
