Winding our way through Arkansas and into Missouri we stopped at the Drury-Mincy Conservation Area on County Road J40. It was just starting to warm up a bit. We enjoy the shade of Mincy for a few minutes and off we go again.
Stopping at Red Lobster for lunch in Branson, MO, we meet with great folks from the
Combat Vets Association, Missouri Chapter.
There were a total of 26 riders as the nice folks at
Red Lobster showed us to our tables.
We meet and and visit with each other as we wait for our lunch to arrive. After we had finished eating one of the waitress helped by taking a picture of the whole group. With our tummies full, we left Red Lobster and the Combat Veterans.
Our next stop was Blue Eye, MO at the Missouri/Arkansas line. Once again we found a nice shady spot to enjoy. We were going to get ice cream at a place across the street but it was closed.
While most of us rested, Mike and Mike used the time to make a few adjustments on Mike's bike with Mike's lil tool. Alex was supervising to make sure they did it right.
It was pretty warm by now and a lil ice cream would have been nice. Hey... Green Forest has a Sonic!! and Sonic has
Ice Cream!!
Yep.. we made it to Green Forest, AR and one last stop at Sonic.
Everyone got something nice and cool.
Mike's shows everyone his lil tool as Charlie looks a lil tired
and Alex finishes off his cherry.
We were all hot, sweaty and tired but the stop at Sonic helped alot. It had been a beautiful day of riding and eating, eating and riding. Everyone mounted up again, with the sun to our backs. We were headed towards Harrison and home.
Old friends riding together, meeting new friends.
You just can't beat it!
