We left on Saturday, June 12th and returning on Sunday,
June 13th, 2004
We met for our ride at the Depot Restaurant at 8:00 am. (can you believe it that
"I" was actually early?!!)
We were all happy to have Dauna and Kenneth Keeter join us for our ride. Off we all went
to meet up with Jim
at Flippin, AR. (we missed you Ann !!) where we started our trip to Tunica, MS for fun and
games.
We were supposed to have our Chapter meeting when we stopped for lunch at Kelley's
Restaurant in Bald Knob,
but by the time we got to Bald Knob we were all hot and ready to be in Tunica and forgot
all about our meeting.
The closer we got to Tunica the hotter it seemed to get. Patty was our support vehical
towing a trailer
"just in case". We were all tempted to load up on the trailer and join Patty in
her Yukon, asking her to
"CRANK UP THE AIR". Altho, Patty was sweet and suffered like the rest of us in
the heat without
turning on the air. "
Tired and hot, I think we all had a great time! But were really glad to make it to Tunica
but sad that Jim
and Mike didn't stay and headed back shortly after arriving.
After a night of fun at the casino's (and dinner for all of thanks to Dauna and Kenneth -
THANK YOU !!),
we headed back Sunday morning. The ride back wasn't to bad once we got off of the
interstate and back in
the hills of Arkansas. We very luckily dodged thunderstorms all the way home.
Long and hot, we all had a great time!! Looking forward to doing it again.
Hopefully our members that couldn't make this trip will be able to join on the next one.
At the end of our ride we ended up again at the Depot where we decided that since we
didn't have
our meeting in Bald Knob that we would reschedule it for Wednesday at 6:30 pm. in
Harrison, AR
for dinner at Western Sizzlin.
