On May 20, 2006 after Star 298's day with Yamaha of Harrison at their 30
Year Celebration, the chapter saddles up for a ride to the Iron Horse Stable in Eureka
Springs, Arkansas.
As we arrive we see a couple walking around after just being married. Nancy didn't like
the couple, as she wanted to be getting married instead of them.
We parked and went up the stairs to the porch and settled in. Just then, Dennis kneels
beside Nancy and in front of everyone asks her if she would marry him. She answered YES!!
Unknown to Nancy, Dennis had planned their wedding and with a little help from Star 298
had everything set up for them to get married at the Iron Horse Stable then and there.
Then was one small problem... Dennis can't find the Marriage License. Dennis discusses
this with Phil and Alex. They decide that since Alex it our Chapter President it would be
ok for him to write out the marriage license. Finding a piece of paper, Alex proceeds to
create the Marriage License with a little information from Nancy and Dennis. With Marriage
License in hand, we're ready for the ceremony.
Alex escorted Nancy down the isle to Dennis waiting at the altar. Phil performs a
beautiful ceremony and then announced Mr. and Mrs. Goodnight to everyone.
We assemble back inside for a small reception of cake. Phil brought in a bowl of punch and
left it on the table for us to enjoy.
After cutting the cake and a toast to the newlyweds, Dennis removed Nancy's garter with
Mike Boyd catching it.
Suddenly, a lady with the Iron Horse Stable comes and takes back our punch saying that the
other couple had come back and unknown to us, it was "their" punch that Phil had
brought in. We all got a good laugh and prepared to follow the new couple as they rode
off.
Getting on their bike that had been decorated by a few Chapter members, Nancy and Dennis
rode off with the rest of us following them until they headed north towards home.
The rest of us rode on back to Harrison where most of us stopped at Sonic for a little
dinner before heading home ourselves.
